Introducing Mrs. Emilee Workman

Foothill's next Choir teacher
Emilee Workman currently serves as the Choir Teacher at Chaparral High School, where she helps students explore their passion for music and develop their vocal talents. With nine years of experience in the Clark County School District, she has taught both middle and high school, gaining a deep appreciation for the impact music education can have on students’ confidence, creativity, and sense of community. A proud Henderson native, she graduated from Basic High School in 2008 and earned her bachelor of choral music education degree from Southern Utah University, She also earned an associates of science from Utah State University Eastern, where she refined her skills as a musician and educator. She continues to attend conferences and workshops to continue learning and growing as a conductor and musician.

Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Workman is deeply committed to advancing the choral arts on a broader scale and working with teachers from all areas. She participates in a local professional treble ensemble, Desert Singers Las Vegas, and also was nominated for a Heart of Education award in 2023. Whether teaching in the classroom or conducting on stage, she strives to instill a love for music and the discipline it requires.
